Education
Dr. Clarey is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, Des Moines, Iowa. She completed her internship and then residency in general surgery at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Clarey is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons

Teaching
Dr. Clarey is an active member of the teaching faculty at Grandview hospital, Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Wright State University Medical School

Volunteer Service
Dr. Clarey is a devoted member of the Society Taking Active Responsibility for International Self Health, (STARFISH.) She has conducted international medial missions providing medical services in Sierra Leone, West Africa, Romania, and South Africa.

Member of the Ninety-Nines and International Association of Women Pilots

Osteopathic Service
Nationally, Dr. Clarey has served as the President of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery from 1994-95. She has served as a clinical examiner, a member of the written exam committee, and as a surgical residency program inspector.

At the state level Dr. Clarey currently holds the position of OOA President. Dr. Clarey has been a member of the OOA Board of Trustees since 1994, having held the positions of Treasurer and Second Vice President.

At the local level, Dr. Clarey served as Chief of Staff at Grandview Hospital from 1991 -1993. As well as the Dayton District Academy President in 1991.
